Internships
Internships are a vital part of the Institute’s summer and semester programs, providing interns with an opportunity to apply what they've learned in the classroom, creating, testing and improving upon their own approach to peacebuilding. Internships are tailored to each individual's discipline, passions, and goals.
The Institute’s staff works closely with each student to offer several good matches based on the interests of the student. Students follow up with phone interviews to finalize the placement. Once placed, each student works with an on-site mentor to identify a peacebuilding project that will occupy approximately 75% of the internship hours. During the semester, interns are on-site at the internship 20 hours per week, and in the summer, they work 32 hours per week.
